The Team at West Coast Integral InitiativesTam Lundy, PhD (Principal) Tam is an established consultant, educator and mentor in the field of human and social development. Having discovered her love for this work in the early 1970’s, Tam now draws on several decades of professional experience in community development and capacity building, social planning, health promotion and organizational development. Over the years she has worked with leaders and practitioners in a broad range of government, organizational and community settings. She has led large-scale initiatives, advised practitioners and policy-makers, developed and delivered countless workshops and courses, and written extensively on topics ranging from participation, community development and capacity building, to human development and the challenge of change. Tam works closely with leaders, policy makers, practitioners and educators in diverse disciplines and sectors, introducing integral thinking and practice approaches to health promotion, planning, governance, and organizational development, as well as community development, engagement and capacity building. Over the past few years, for example, Tam worked closely with the team at BC Healthy Communities, a British Columbia-wide initiative fostering health, well-being and healthy human development in individuals and in communities. She played a leadership role in BCHC’s start-up phase, shaping the initiative’s theoretical foundations with an integral approach, and contributing integrally-informed practice tools that continue to guide the work of the BCHC team.
Tam’s pioneering work to apply an integral approach to health promotion and education is gaining ground among health practitioners and policy leaders alike, and forms the foundations of curriculum she teaches in the School of Holistic Studies at John F. Kennedy University in California.

Avril Orloff, MA (Associate) Says Avril: “Mahatma Gandhi famously spoke of the need to be the change we wish to see in the world. As a graphic facilitator, I help groups move toward this goal by enabling them to first see the change they wish to be! I do this by creating a visual record of meetings as they unfold, combining words, images and icons to capture key ideas as they emerge, connect the dots into larger themes, and ultimately reveal the big picture – both figuratively and literally.”
My entry into the field of graphic facilitation is a natural outgrowth of my earlier ‘selves’ as a graphic designer, art director, project manager and dialogue facilitator. As an artist, I know firsthand the power of moving beyond words to stimulate fresh thinking and connect to our deepest feelings – and how critical it is to engage those feelings if we hope to effect transformative change.
